FLAT is where it's at

WELCOME! This series of episodes was recorded from Spring 2019 to Fall 2021. It turned out to be a pretty action-packed couple of years for the planet. So as you listen, the intros will reflect what was happening in the world as I recorded these. While the relevance of the intro may not hit home anymore (not all are serious, some are comedic) the stories and insights of these beautiful women are still poignant and important. Events happened which made it impossible for me to produce more, but these are golden.  Enjoy!

This is a podcast for and about flatties. None of us said, "Man, I wish someone would cut my boobs off.", but since cancer came along and we didn't want foreign objects shoved into our chest cavities, we find ourselves livin' the flat life. Or, maybe we DID choose implants and found pain and disease there, so had them removed and we're livin' flat now. Or, maybe we found that we had a gene that made us very likely to get cancer, so we preemptively had our breasts removed. Some of us had a unilateral mastectomy and chose to remain flat on one side.  However we got here, we find that being flat comes along with very specific problems, weird situations, and wonderful freedoms. Here we discuss them all. (That said, I do have trans friends who HAVE wanted their boobs cut off, but different circumstances, different situations.) If you are flat and feeling alone, you can find support on facebook. The groups Fierce, Flat, Forward,  My Flat Friends, and Flatties Unite offer a huge collection of supportive sisters. They have helped me tremendously. Also, GREAT resources for information and support for going flat can be found at https://notputtingonashirt.org/ and at https://www.flatclosurenow.org/

Non-flatties are welcome, too! We NEED the general population to understand our situation. You can also find FLAT is where it's at on instagram. Thanks for comin' by! And to learn more about me, you can visit stephanieastalos-jones.com

Dr. Yara Robertson is half the team who performed my revision surgery. I will always be grateful to her for her part in my healing. She is making a big move, so I wanted to update everyone on where she is going. You now will find her in association with CARTI cancer institute in Little Rock, Arkansas. She cannot...

This is a little show, just to remember our dear sister. It gets a little sexually specific and to the point, because Rebecca was all about being honest, frank, and talking coochie health. It is with much love and an abundance of gratitude that I thank her for her energy and love and I thank those that contributed to...

Meet Rocio Rodriguez, college credit analyzer, Mom, Covid-time home teacher, and flattie. Here are some lovely photos of her.

Here she is with her darling daughter, Zoe.

Here she is practicing her meditation in a beautiful spot that has now, tragically, been destroyed by the fire.

And here's a gorgeous shot of her.
